PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS
The Parking Authority’s Parking Enforcement Officers (PEO) receive vigorous training
on parking regulations and customer service. They are highly knowledgeable about all
violations that are enforced throughout the City of Camden.
Our PEOs enforce parking and other violations in the areas of Cooper University
Hospital, Rutgers University, Downtown, Virtua Health Systems, and all residential
parking throughout the city.
Camden County Metro Police also patrol and ticket vehicles 24 hours per day, 7 days
per week.

STREET SWEEPER
The street sweeper runs from March through December each year during the first full
week of each month.
The Parking Authority’s enforcement officers write violations for the street sweeper.
American Water is responsible for the sweepers cleaning the streets. If there are any
questions about the sweeper, please contact American Water at 856-635-1496.
All vehicles must move for the sweeper or be ticketed. If the sweeper sign states “NO
PARKING 8AM TO 12PM THURSDAY” you cannot park on that side of the street until
after 12pm, regardless of whether the sweeper has already passed through.
BROKEN METERS
If you receive a ticket at a broken meter, please call the Camden Violations Bureau at
856-757-7380 or visit their office to complete a broken meter report at 520 Market
Street, City Hall, 4 th Floor, Camden, NJ 08101. Please note that you will need your ticket
when filing the report.
